With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

Audubon Eagle Middle School
6th – 8th Grade. Superhero Creation Project

Assignment Goals:

  • Encourage creativity and personal expression through the designs of a unique superhero character.
  • Develop storytelling and artistic skills by conceptualizing the superhero’s appearance, abilities, and ethos.
  • Foster an understanding of societal and personal responsibilities through the lens of a superhero narrative.

    – Integrate technology and arts by using AI to transform self-portraits into superhero representations.

    Assignment Process:
Students receive a worksheet that prompts them to think critically about what constitutes a superhero. They are guided to design their superhero’s looks, suit, powers, and unique attributes, as well as how their superhero contributes to society. Using AI technology, students then transform a self-portrait into the superhero they have imagined, merging their personal identity with their creative design.
