Meet our newest Graphic Design Teaching Artist, Verscye Jackson, who brings both professional expertise and lived experience into the classroom. A Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) designer and BFA graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Verscye specializes in creating bold, purposeful visual stories rooted in strong conceptual thinking and typography.
As a teaching artist at Pulse Arts, he is passionate about mentoring high school students, encouraging creative confidence, and showing young designers how accessibility, strategy, and self-expression can work together to shape meaningful design.
Verscye Jackson will begin teaching graphic design skills with Pulse Arts at Marlton School, LA Unified School District’s primary K–12 school for Deaf students.
