Description
Catalina Island, CA. This is the very first door in my series, and it holds a special place in history! I captured this beauty at the Wrigley Memorial & Botanical Gardens—a striking tribute to none other than William Wrigley Jr., the visionary chewing gum mogul who founded the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in 1891 (Cinnamon was always my favorite!). Not only did he revolutionize chewing gum, but in 1925 he also became the proud owner of the Chicago Cubs, cementing his influence in both sports and business. Wrigley’s legacy doesn’t stop there; he played a pivotal role in transforming Catalina Island into the serene paradise we know today. Although he passed in 1931 and was initially laid to rest behind these very doors, his remains were later relocated to Glendale, CA during WWII. These doors are more than an entryway—they are a gateway to history, success, and transformation.
